Zheng Tianying

Zheng Tianying joined the Beijing office of GCW Consulting in April,
2002.
Ms. Zheng is a seasoned airline veteran, having served in CAAC and
Air China for some 25 years. Her experience at CAAC and Air China provided Ms. Zheng
with a wide and rich range of experiences in air transportation. She was responsible
for sales, pricing, passenger transportation, inventory control, price regulation, IATA
coordination, airline marketing, and code-sharing and international alliances. During
these years, Ms. Zheng held various senior positions, including Deputy General Manager
of Passenger Transportation of Air China; Marketing Director; Price Regulation Director
of Air China; CAAC Representative in London; and Sale Branch Manager.
In addition to her extensive experience in airline passenger transportation
management and marketing, Ms. Zheng is a leading expert in the structure and pricing
of international airfares. Her book, International Tariff, has been designated by CAAC
as the primer for PRC airline management training.
Most recently, Ms. Zheng oversaw all of Air China's special prorate
negotiations with non-PRC carriers and the introduction into Air China of a revenue
management system. She also played a leading role in the negotiation and implementation
of the code-sharing and alliance arrangements between Air China and non-PRC carriers,
including Northwest Airlines.
