Georgia Holliday
Executive Assistant and Graphic Designer
Arlington, Va. Office |
Georgia
joined GCW in September 2002 to assist in graphic design and
production of presentations. Georgia has 30 years of experience as
Mo Garfinkle’s assistant at the Galland Kharasch law firm, at GKMG
and now at GCW Consulting.
Mo
would like to think he “taught her everything she knows.” Georgia
takes exception to that notion, pointing out that she learned quite
a lot at Katharine Gibbs School in New York City (survived the
Northeast U.S. electrical “blackout” in 1965), as Assistant
Personnel Coordinator at WRC-TV/NBC in Washington (knew David
Brinkley and his classic blue T Bird), as assistant to military
sales at Collins Radio (got lost in the Pentagon a couple of times),
as Executive Secretary to the Indiana University Graduate School of
Business “Executive Program,” and as assistant to Patricia and
Arthur Cotton Moore (who, coincidentally, was the architect of Canal
Square in Georgetown, which was Georgia’s “home away from home”/GKMG
office address for 25 years).
Georgia can be reached at GCW’s Arlington, Va. office at gholliday@gcwconsulting.com.
Aviation has always been one of Georgia's interests – and
connections. Her brother’s career has been at the National Air and
Space Museum of the Smithsonian Institution. Georgia has joined his
family at Air Shows at Andrews Air Force Base and NAS Oceana.
Georgia’s loves flying (especially take-offs and landings), flying
in gliders (would like to take glider pilot instruction), sailing on
the Chesapeake Bay, watching jets take off and land at Reagan
National Airport, driving, snorkeling, flower arranging, and hanging
out with her daughter.
